Chris Christie – Intuition and the Luck Bucket

Growing up on the North Shore Chris began his adventure career first whitewater kayaking and then racing his bike in Canada and Europe. The roads of Belgium gave him an appetite to suffer and upon returning to Canada Chris found expedition racing as his next outlet. Climbing, skiing and a return to the bike would eventually follow suit.

Chris’s long apprenticeship in adventure sport has taken him to many remote places but his focus is on the coast range. Chris’s passion for photography has allowed him to share his adventure experiences through his imagery. His skills were recognized by a little known group in Pemberton aptly named “The Big Line Hunters” who look at the mountains in a different way and ski lines few would consider.  Chris’s careful approach and patience in the mountains have given him a long incident free career. But sometimes exposure to risk catches up with you.
