In 2015, to mark the 20 year anniversary of a tragic accident that took his leg, Meyrick tackled the world’s oldest bike race – the 1,230km Paris-Brest-Paris. Meyrick Jones is an endurance athlete, adventurer, coach, motivational speaker and father of three. He lost his left leg below the knee in a cable car accident in San Francisco in 1995.
Since then he has gone on to compete in numerous Ironman races, triathlons, marathons, XC skiing and cycling events. He coaches and mentors athletes and clients to achieve their goals – in fitness or in life – through his business, Innovative Fitness, in West Vancouver, Canada.
